A Closer Look at Kiko Kostadinov's Hysteric Glamour Collab

Including a co-published photo book and three-way ASICS collaboration.

London-based label Kiko Kostadinov has long been teasing its upcoming collaboration with Japan’s Hysteric Glamour and at last, we’ve got a closer look at all the items on offer.

While the brand’s three-way ASICS collaboration has been one of the most highly-anticipated pieces from the collection so far, the full range actually includes so much more than that. Debuting a new range of apparel and accessories alongside a co-published photo book, the collaboration sees the Tokyo-based brand translate its signature glitchy aesthetic to Kiko Kostadinov’s contemporary knitwear silhouettes, injecting vivid colors and stripes at every turn.

So far, the brand’s womenswear Creative Directors Laura and Deanna Fanning have teased a striped mock neck tank top in two colorways alongside multi-colored jumpers with printed graphics on the front and sides. Knitwear takes center stage throughout the range, drawing on archival Hysteric Glamour techniques and logos. The collaboration also includes a range of printed denim, in the form of faux denim jackets and skirt trousers in coordinating red and blue hues.

Rounding out the collection is a photo book, lensed by London-based photographer Rosie Marks and titled Pretty Hurts. A continuation of Hysteric Glamour’s limited-edition books published in the early ’90s, the collaborative piece is made up of eleven vignettes, guiding the viewer through an exploration of contemporary beauty and glamor.

Take a look at the collaboration and campaign in full above, available for purchase in Tokyo on October 28 exclusively via Hysteric Glamour’s website and from Kiko Kostadinov on November 8. The collaboration will see a wider global release shortly after.
