
Studio Ghibli Joins Forces With Lucasfilm's 'Star Wars' on Short Film
Now available on Disney+.
Studio Ghibli, the creator behind iconic films like Spirited Away and My Neighbour Totoro, has joined forces with Star Wars‘ Lucasfilm on a short film, now available on Disney+.
Titled Zen: Grogu and Dust Bunnies, the three-minute clip features hand-drawn illustrations, opening with Grogu along with Ghibli’s Dust Bunnies. The beloved character from The Mandalorian interacts with the small googly-eyed creatures throughout the film, which is released on the third anniversary of The Mandalorian‘s debut.
The clip is directed by Katsuya Kondo, a manga artist and character designs loved for his Ghibli aesthetic. The visuals are accompanied by sounds created by Ludwig Göransson, who worked on the score for The Mandalorian.
