Yayoi Kusama's Iconic Infinity Dots Take Over Louis Vuitton's Fragrances

Arriving in three scents.

Yayoi Kusama and Louis Vuitton have reunited for the first time since 2012, returning with a collection of handbags, footwear, ready-to-wear and more along with special pop-ups. The collaboration additionally includes a range of fragrances that are updated with the Japanese artist’s iconic Infinity Dots.

Three of the fashion house’s signature perfumes receive the Kusama makeover. Slated to arrive in two drops, the scents are housed in polka-dotted bottles and accompanying travel cases.

The first launch, a celebration of the duo’s collaboration back in 2012, features fragrances decorated with Painted Dots in a colorful palette of green, yellow, red, blue and white. Pictured above, scents include “Attrape-Rêves,” boasting peonies with raw cocoa powder and a hit of patchouli heart; as well as “L’Immensité,” a fresh aroma with hints of ginger and grapefruit. Elsewhere, the Infinity Dots pattern takes over “Spell On You,” formulated with iris pallida and rose.

The second drop, yet to be revealed, will highlight Kusama’s love for flowers, with floral prints on the perfume bottles and travel cases. The artist has also created an exclusive pattern for Louis Vuitton dubbed “Faces,” which will make an appearance on the “Attrape-Rêves” bottle. The collection is complete with Kusama’s signature Pumpkins on “L’Immensité.”

Take a peek at the first drop in the gallery above. Drop 1 of Yayoi Kusama x Louis Vuitton’s fragrance collection will be available in stores on January 6, 2023, while Drop 2 will come to stores on March 31, 2023. Prices range from €320 EUR (approximately $340 USD) for a 100ml bottle, to €670 EUR (approximately $711 USD) for a Travel Case. The Yayoi Kusama x Louis Vuitton Flaconnier, a special monogram canvas box, will be priced at €7,750 EUR (approximately $8,222 USD).
