Apple Announces Spring 2022 "Peek Performance" Event
Scheduled for March 8.
Apple has finally announced its next event, titled “Peek Performance.” Scheduled for Tuesday, March 8, the event will be streamed online at 10 a.m. PT (1 p.m. ET) from the tech giant’s headquarters in Cupertino.
As always, there have been numerous rumors surrounding Apple’s next products. According to reports, the company will be revealing a new iPhone SE — which could be its cheapest 5G phone yet — along with a new iPad Air with a faster CPU. Elsewhere, Bloomberg reported that new Mac models will be equipped with Apple’s in-house chips, while devices will see an iOS 15.4 update.
The iOS 15.4 will allow users to unlock their devices using Face ID with their masks on. New emojis have also been introduced, including a biting lip, heart hands, a pregnant person and more. Users will additionally be able to copy text via their camera in the Notes and Reminders apps.
“Peek Performance” comes after the “Unleashed” event, which unveiled a lineup of MacBook Pros, AirPods and HomePod minis.
