After much anticipation, Apple has finally announced its latest updates at the Spring 2022 “Peek Performance” event. The tech giant has introduced a new green colorway to its iPhone 13 lineup, while bringing back the iPhone SE with upgraded battery life and a new camera system. The company has also added its M1 chip and 5G to the iPad Air, while debuting its M1 Ultra chip with two new products, the Mac Studio and Studio Display.

New green colorways for the iPhone 13 lineup

Apple has introduced two new colors to its iPhone 13 lineup — “Green” and “Alpine Green.” These shades are applied to the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13, and will be available for pre-order from March 11 with the official launch on March 18.

The iPhone SE returns with brand new updates

As rumored, the iPhone SE makes a grand return. The smartphone comes with A15 Bionic and 5G, as well as improved battery life and a new camera system with Smart HDR 4, Photographic Styles and Deep Fusion. The compact device is offered in “Midnight,” “Starlight” and “(PRODUCT)RED.” With prices starting at $429 USD, the new iPhone SE will be available for pre-order on March 11 with the official launch coming on March 18.

The iPad Air gets an upgrade with the M1 chip and 5G

Apple has added its M1 chip to the iPad Air, delivering up to 60% faster performance. The updated gadget also arrives with a new Ultra Wide front camera for a more seamless video call experience. Prices start at $549 USD and pre-order will be available from March 11 with shipping beginning on March 18.

The all-new Mac Studio and Studio Display

Apple has introduced its all-new Mac Studio desktop and Studio Display, which work together or separately. The Mac Studio, which works with existing displays, is powered by M1 Max and the new M1 Ultra chip. The Studio Display is a 27-inch 5K Retina display that arrives with a 12MP Ultra Wide camera with Center Stage, studio-quality three-mic array and a six-speaker sound system with Spatial Audio. Currently available online, the Mac Studio starts at $1,999 USD and the Studio Display is $1,599 USD.

The M1 Ultra chip

The tech giant is updating its silicon lineup with the supercharged M1 Ultra chip. The updated design features a total of 20 cores and essentially combines two individual M1 Max chips into a single SoC (system on a chip). The M1 Ultra will be included in the new Mac Studio desktop.
