Dhruv Kapoor Unveils SS22 Womenswear Collection

The new capsule defies gender roles.

Indian fashion label Dhruv Kapoor challenges expectations with the release of its Spring/Summer 2022 collection. As India is one of the world’s largest textile manufacturers, the expansive country is able to make the most impact when it comes to climate change.

The founder of the eponymous brand demonstrates its dedication to ethically made fashion as 40% of its newest line is crafted from discarded textiles from domestic manufacturers. Furthermore, Dhruv Kapoor underscores the importance of empowering women by working with causes such as the Hothur Foundation to support the creation of employment opportunities for acid attack survivors.

The SS22 womenswear line elevates the everyday woman’s wardrobe with subversive silhouettes in the form of calf-length puffers, workwear-inspired blazers, alongside frilled and extravagant blouses. Elsewhere, grandma chic takes on a whole new life as a vintage floral print appears on a matching jacket and skirt set, while a vivid illustration of the ocean is splashed across a utilitarian yet elegant coat.

Defying gender stereotypes through its use of shape and color, Dhruv Kapoor’s SS22 collection is available on the brand’s website.

Take a look at the stunning collection in the gallery above.
