UPDATE (May 6, 2022): Bad Bunny has dropped his sixth studio album, Un Verano Sin Ti, which translates to “A Summer Without You.”

The highly anticipated LP consists of 23 tracks, seven of which are collaborations with other artists, such as Rauw Alejandro, Jhay Cortez, The Marías, Bomba Estéreo and more.

Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, sets the tone for summer in Un Verano Sin Ti with songs for every mood. Overall, the Puerto Rican native’s new LP is very calypso-sounding. One track in which that can be heard is “Ojitos Lindos” with Bomba Estéreo — one of the album’s most optimistic and romantic songs. Tainy, who produced the song, said in a press release that the collab “perfectly represents the vibe of the album. It’s one of those songs that instantly transports you when you listen to it. Hearing the combination of Benito and Li [Saumet]’s vocals was incredible for me. It’s one of my favorite tracks on the album.”

Agosto,” which translates to “August,” and “Andrea” are other songs with that similar dance vibe. However, despite experimenting on this album, Bad Bunny still sticks to his signature Reggaeton sound, which can be heard in tracks like “Tarot,” “Efecto” and “La Corriente.”

The musician also broadens his horizon. “Aguacero” offers a new glimpse into the artist’s craft, making it probably his sexiest song yet. Meanwhile, “Otro Atardecer” with The Marías is refreshing with alternative pop undertones and “Me Fui de Vacaciones” is Reggae-based.

Lastly, it wouldn’t be a Bad Bunny album with at least one melancholic song, which in this case is the album’s title track.

Un Verano Sin Ti is currently streaming everywhere. Listen below.

ORIGINAL STORY (May 3, 2022): Bad Bunny has revealed his forthcoming album, Un Verano Sin Ti, translated to “A Summer Without You,” is releasing on Friday, May 6.

The Puerto Rican native’s upcoming LP will consist of 23 songs. Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, made history with his previous album, 2020’s El Último Tour Del Mundo, when it became the first-ever all-Spanish-language album to hit the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

The Reggaeton artist is also staying busy outside of music. During a recent appearance at CinemaCon, it was announced he has been cast in El Muerto. Playing the titular role, Bad Bunny has once again made history, this time for being the first-ever Latino to star in a Marvel live-action film, which is slated to hit theaters in January 2024.

Bad Bunny will be embarking on a summer tour across North and South America kicking off in August and concluding in December. Check out the tour dates as well as the promotional video for Un Verano Sin Ti below.
