Dua Lipa Has Reportedly Been Cast in Live-Action 'Barbie' Movie
Co-starring alongside Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.
It’s been reported that Dua Lipa has been added to the cast of Barbie.
The “New Rules” singer is set to make her acting debut in Apple TV+‘s Argylle, which seemed to have helped her land the Barbie gig. “Dua is making waves in both music and movies,” a source told The Sun. “She really impressed in Argylle and word spread around Hollywood about how good she was.”
The insider added, “Now she has joined the cast of Barbie alongside big names including Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Will Ferrell and Saoirse Ronan.” The source also predicts that Barbie will become the pop star’s breakthrough role.
Greta Gerwig is directing the highly anticipated film. She will also be co-writing the script with partner Noah Baumbach.
