Netflix Announces 'Selling Sunset' Spinoff, 'Selling The OC'
The Oppenheim Group heads to Orange County.
The fifth season of Selling Sunset has come to a close with the show’s reunion revealed this week. Towards the end of the talk, hosted by Tan France, Netflix revealed that a sixth season is on the way along with a spinoff show titled Selling The OC.
The upcoming series will follow realtors at The Oppenheim Group’s new Orange County branch. “Hot new listing. A fresh set of realtors square off, competing to establish themselves at Jason and Brett Oppenheim’s second office on the Orange County coast,” the synopsis reads. “Will the pressure prove too much for these agents to handle?”
Unlike Selling Sunset‘s all-female group, the trailer shows that Selling The OC will feature a mixed cast. Jason spoke on the upcoming series in an interview with ET: “I’m getting to know these people at the same time that the audience is. And I think they’re getting to know themselves and each other just as much.” He continued: “Whereas I think, on Selling Sunset, we had known each other for decades, and I had known these people for decades. So this is a learning process for me too. I honestly don’t even know what’s going to happen, which I guess is kind of exciting as well.”
