HBO Set to Debut Princess Diana Documentary Titled 'The Princess'
The film will premiere on the 25th anniversary of her death.
The Princess, a documentary covering the life of Princess Diana, will be premiering on HBO next month.
The film is scheduled to launch on August 13, commemorating the 25th anniversary of Princess Di’s death on August 31. Directed by Ed Perkins, the documentary is comprised of television footage as well as other public records, telling not only the story of Lady Di but also her relationship with Prince Charles, and their two sons.
First premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, the movie is described as “a visceral submersion into Diana’s life in the constant and often intrusive glare of the media spotlight. The film unfolds as if it were in the present, allowing viewers to experience the overwhelming adoration, but also intense scrutiny of Diana’s every move and the constant judgment of her character.”
The Princess will land on HBO Max on August 13 at 8 p.m. EST.
