Nanamica Transforms Puma's Suede VTG With Two Clean Colorways
Marking the pair’s first-ever collaboration.
Tokyo-based label Nanamica has joined forces with global sportswear brand Puma for a neutral take on its signature Suede VTG silhouette. Fusing Nanamica’s timeless, minimal aesthetic with Puma’s classic suede offering, the new sneakers feature technical GORE-TEX fabric and monochromatic designs. For FW22, the sneakers arrive in two clean colorways: navy blue and tonal beige.
The partnership marks the first time that Nanamica has collaborated with Puma, and while an ongoing collaboration has yet to be confirmed, we imagine that this won’t be the last time the pair join forces.
“For our first collaboration with Nanamica we wanted to create something that would be instantly recognizable as a partnership between both brands,” says PUMA’s Head of Design for Sportstyle Footwear, Ayesha Atlee, in a press release. ”We decided to leverage the PUMA Suede because of its timeless design, mixing it with Nanamica’s neutral swatches and their signature use of GORE-TEX fabric was a must to accomplish our vision.”
The new Nanamica x Puma Suede VTG will be available in extended sizing from the Nanamica website from August 26.
