A$AP Rocky Unveils His New PUMA Suede '94 Sneaker
Throwing it back to ’90s New York City.
Get ready to shake up your sneaker rotation, because the ultimate throwback is officially here. A$AP Rocky is tapping deep into his New York roots to revive a legendary silhouette from the archive: the A$AP ROCKY x PUMA Suede ’94.
Serving nostalgia from hip-hop’s golden era, this drop is a love letter to 1994 New York street culture. For the artist, the release is incredibly personal. In a press release, he said “I remember when my mom bought me my first pair of suedes,” recalling how style icons like Walt “Clyde” Frazier made the sneaker an absolute must-have. Now, he’s bringing that feeling back, stitch-for-stitch.
The sneaker boasts an edgy, raw hem padded tongue, a retro woven label and a sleeker, slimmer tooling shape. Adding a touch of effortless glamour, the pair features a bespoke gold PUMA lace keeper and arrives in a custom shoebox. A full retro PUMA logo is stamped on the quarter panel — a historic, standout design first that makes these sneakers instantly identifiable.
Whether you style them up or down, these sneakers offer the perfect blend of nostalgia, edge and effortless street style.
The A$AP ROCKY x PUMA Suede ’94 will be available to purchase starting July 16 on the PUMA website and select retailers.
