In a World of Collaboration Fatigue, "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" x adidas Ultra 4D Makes a Lot of Sense

With nearly every high profile cultural moment carrying a sneaker partnership, it was only natural that the highly anticipated Black Panther: Wakanda Forever movie would follow suit.

As collab culture continues to foster unlikely brand pairings, the adidas Ultra 4D is actually a natural fit for Wakanda Forever. On a fundamental level, Three Stripes’ innovative 3D printed sneaker channels Wakanda’s tech-centric society. Aesthetics-wise, the sleek design pairs well with the Afrofuturism highlighted by the franchise.

The collaborative sneaker implements a black/royal purple colorway accented with the Black Panther’s signature tooth detail across the upper and golden stripes on the lateral and medial sides.

Take a closer look at the collaboration in the gallery above and mark your calendars for the September 30 release date. The pair will carry a $220 retail price and include special edition packaging.

Elsewhere in footwear, take a look at the New Balance 550 and 650 silhouettes releasing this fall.
