Anna Delvey Is Developing a Reality TV Show
To put her “con artist” image in the past.
Anna Delvey, otherwise Anna Sorokin or the con artist that served as the subject of Netflix‘s Inventing Anna, is reportedly working on a new reality series.
As reported by Page Six, the 31-year-old, who has been continuing her career as an artist, is aiming to put her “con artist” image in her past after being released from ICE custody in October.
“It’s going to be dealing with her art and design and it will deal with her as a person and as a talented artist,” Delvey’s lawyer Duncan Levin shared. Currently in its early stages, the untitled show has yet to be picked up by a production company or network. Levin continued, “We’re down the road on several really interesting opportunities and we are just looking for places where she’ll get a fair shake and where people are willing to give her this opportunity to speak for herself and tell her story.”
The attorney further noted that “the collateral consequences of criminal convictions are really ruinous. Everyone she speaks to initially thinks of her as a con artist and so she has an uphill battle.”
In addition to a TV series, Sorokin and her team have also reportedly discussed the possibility of launching a clothing and fragrance line. “She is really a lot more than the worst thing that she’s alleged to have ever done… She is a great client. She’s actually very pleasant and very funny and people think that they know her because they’re thinking about the [Julia] Garner character,” Levin shared.
