Nick Carter Pays Tribute to Aaron Carter in New Emotional Song "Hurts to Love You"
“This is my most personal record to date,” says the singer.
Nick Carter released a new song titled “Hurts to Love You,” which he dedicated to his late brother, Aaron Carter, who died on November 5, 2022.
“We all have someone in our lives that no matter what they do and how bad it hurts you still love them,” he wrote on the music video’s description on YouTube. “So I worked it out the best way I know how. In my 30-year career, this is my most personal record to date. A story of unconditional love and heartbreak.”
Though Nick didn’t officially announce the single is about Aaron, the music video, which features visuals of the late musician, confirms it. In the single, Nick sings, “It’s hard to let go of the anger. I know for me it took some time/ Sometime the darkness lasts forever/ Fееlѕ lіkе thе lіght wоn’t еvеr ѕhіnе/ Аlwауѕ hореd уоur tоmоrrоwѕ wоuld bе bеttеr thаn thе dауѕ bеfоrе/ І hореd уоu’d fіnd уоur rоаd tо fоllоw/ То а рlасе уоu wеrе hарру іn thіѕ wоrld.”
