Season 2 of 'Wednesday' Actually Won't Be Moving to Prime Video and Here's Why

There was a recent report suggesting that Wednesday, starring Jenna Ortega, may be moving from Netflix to Prime Video, but that actually won’t be the case.
The reason being that “the Wednesday deal between Netflix and MGM were locked in long before Amazon purchased MGM,” according to IndieWire. Therefore, it’s unlikely that Wednesday will be moving to another streamer. Chances are, The Addams Family spinoff will remain at Netflix for its upcoming season.
It’s been a little over a month since Wednesday dropped on Netflix, and in just seven days after it premiered, it broke the record for Netflix’s most-watched debut. During that time period, Wednesday garnered attention 341.23 million hours, breaking the “record for the most hours viewed in a week for an English-language TV series on Netflix,” according to the streamer.
In three weeks after its premiere, it broke another record when the series reached 1 billion viewing hours, making it Netflix’s second most popular English-language show.
