Isamaya Ffrench Brings AI-Inspired Celestial Glam to London Fashion Week

‘Alien Superstars’ were in full effect for the Mowalola FW23 presentation.

After killing makeup for the runways of New York Fashion Week for the Fall/Winter 2023 season, famed makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench hit the UK streets for London Fashion Week to create next-level glam looks for the Mowalola presentation.

Dubbed “Dark Web,” Ffrench created a vision of experimental glamour with faux freckles infused with LED lights, staying on brand with the Mowalola theme. Products from her namesake brand, such as Skinlacq, a glowy, glass-like serum, was used on the models to build out the base of the face before going in with different shimmery textures and tones to create an AI-inspired effect. Of course it’s fashion month and the focus is supposed to be on the clothes that Mowalola created. However, Ffrench etched out the fantasy for the collection, bringing the designer’s ultimate vision to life with futuristic 3D beauty.

Though her makeup looks for the catwalk are head-turning and statement-making, they don’t detract from the clothes. They enhance the designer’s overall concept. Take a closer look of the slayage above.

In case you missed it, get the lowdown on Mowalola’s complete FW23 collection featuring Rico Nasty ahead.
