While Tati Gabrielle may be a new addition to Netflix‘s psycho-thriller You, her presence has been nothing short of impactful.
Playing the strong-willed Marianne Bellamy, the series’ questionable protagonist Joe Goldberg immediately sets his sights on her, but unlike his previous obsessions, discovers their shared darkness and shame. Bellamy is a single mother, struggling with a history of addiction, fighting to outrun her demons. Whereas her current role requires a slightly hardened outlook toward life, Gabrielle is infectiously upbeat and optimistic. The California native has flourished in a myriad of roles, playing Prudence in the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and the determined and formidable Gaia in the sci-fi series, The 100, as long-time fans will know.
Excelling in the arts at an early age, the 27-year-old possesses an innate sense for all things cool, so naturally, we sat her down for a round of “Bae or Nae.” Gabrielle is pro-calling versus texting a new love interest and prefers FaceTime, while she is unsurprisingly picky about romantic comedies, favoring the early 2000s era. On the low-rise jean revival spectrum, the actor is a recent convert, preferring them in a baggy style if she’s going to opt for a navel-grazing waist. It’s safe to say Tati has good taste.
