Homme+Femme Celebrates Black Equestrians With Kentucky Derby-Inspired Collection
In collaboration with Churchill Downs.
Black-owned brand Homme+Femme is paying its respects to the impact African-American horseman had on the Kentucky Derby with the reveal of its latest collection.
Dropping its second collaboration with Churchill Downs, the equestrian-inspired launch delivers an effortlessly cool preppy aesthetic, infused with that specific southern sense of drama and swag. The collection welcomes the brand’s signature varsity jackets, bathed in bold colors and illustrations of leaping horses and agile jockeys. Elsewhere, timeless blazer cardigans are etched with familiar Louisville’s architecture, steeping it in the Kentucky Derby’s rich history.
“My experience at Churchill Downs and Louisville as a city in 2022 gave me so much inspiration that I was able to apply to this year’s collection. I am beyond excited to continue to tell the story of the African American horseman and the African American community’s impact on the Derby through the clothing we have created,” Homme+Femme founder Drew Evans shares in an exclusive press release.
