BLACKPINK's Jennie Teases 'The Idol' Collaboration With The Weeknd
From co-stars to collaborators.
BLACKPINK‘s Jennie is booked and busy, and it appears that she’s got even more surprises in store for her fans. Off the back of her recent Calvin Klein capsule, the K-pop star attended a launch party for the collection in Seoul, alongside DJ duo and sisters Simi and Haze Khadra.
During their DJ set, Jennie was spotted up on the decks playing a seemingly unreleased track of hers — which featured her The Idol co-star, The Weeknd. “I broke you just to mould you/You can’t tell that I love you,” Tesfaye is heard singing in the chorus.
The video was posted on Jennie’s own Instagram story tagging both The Weeknd and The Idol‘s Instagram pages, which also ended up being re-shared on Simi and Haze’s story, too. As a result, fans rightly assumed that not only is it a collaboration between the now-actors, but it’s also likely to be a part of the official The Idol soundtrack.
Take a look at the video below, and stay tuned for more release info coming soon.
