GloRilla And Kehlani Join Forces For "Xmas Time"
The rapper of the year joins forces with R&B’s favorite.
GloRilla and Kehlani drop their first collaboration, “Xmas Time.”
GloRilla’s Friday takeovers don’t seem to be slowing down. Instead, the Memphis rapper is taking over the holidays, too. Released on Friday, GloRilla and R&B artist join forces and deliver a new Christmas anthem.
Beginning on a classic note, “Xmas Time” opens with Kehlani’s well-loved R&B rifts. Before you know it, GloRilla slides in with her “On gang” ad-lib. ”Happy Holidays to you and all your relations… and happy holidays to all our folks who couldn’t make it… I went to the North Pole to cop these bracelets… I got ice for ages,” GloRilla raps before adding, “Certified trick, I get it from my dad.”
The single dropped with a festive live performance music video — snow and all. The video swings back and forth between wholesome Christmas music and GloRilla’s catchy lyrics that evoke the craziest facial expressions. Fans are eating up the moment with comments such as, “‘On the gang’ on a Christmas song is crazy.” Another shared, “Glo is really having a moment. She just makes me smile.”
Other fans have thanked the “FNF” rapper for unintentionally supporting them during the holiday season. As someone who suffers from seasonal depression, Glorilla’s first verse almost made me cry.
