Jessica Simpson Is Taking Us Back to the 2000s With Her Latest Perfume Launch

“Mystic Canyon” is here in honor of the line’s 20th anniversary.

The Y2K beauty renaissance is in full swing. After a five year hiatus, Jessica Simpson has just unveiled her newest perfume — just in time for the 20th anniversary of the Jessica Simpson Collection. “Mystic Canyon” is inspired by the star’s latest album, Nashville Canyon. It’s described as a grounded and glamorous cowboy-inspired scent, with an amber floral scent profile.

When conceptualizing the fragrance, Simpson reflected on her personal evolution as an artist, while also celebrating how far she’s come. “Mystic Canyon is about honoring the strength I’ve discovered, the softness I’ve learned to embrace and the freedom that comes from being unapologetically yourself,” Simpson says in a press release. “To me, this fragrance is a journey bottled up — a reminder that every woman carries her own mystery and magic.”

The bold yet feminine scent is infused with a multitude of floral, fruity and woody notes. Its begins with sweet top notes of pink pepper, black currant and purple plum. Next, its middle notes turn romantic — thanks to jasmine, Turkish rose and iris. To round it all out, base notes of vanilla bean, amber and cedar wood add that earthy touch.

The “Mystic Canyon” Perfume retails for $60 USD and is available for purchase on the JCPenney website.
