Jisoo Makes Her Solo Comeback with Debut EP, 'AMORTAGE'

Best known as a member of the global sensation K-pop group BLACKPINK, South Korean singer Jisoo is carving out her own path as a solo artist. After making her solo debut last March with the single “ME,” she’s now back with her first full EP, AMORTAGE — a project about love that arrives fittingly on Valentine’s Day.
The title is a clever fusion of the words ‘amor’ and ‘montage’ and hints at a story told through snapshots. With four tracks, including the lead single “earthquake,” the EP explores the different waves of love — from passion to heartbreak.
This release also marks a major milestone in Jisoo’s solo journey, as it’s her first project since signing a global label deal with Warner Records in January. Accompanying the EP is the music video for “earthquake,” directed by Christian Breslauer, which fans are already loving. On the musician’s Instagram post, one person said, “MOTHER IS MOTHERING WTF” while another commented, “THE BEST VALENTINE GIFT FR” — for real.
Sharing her excitement, Jisoo expressed in a press release, “I poured my heart into this project and I’m so excited to share it with you all. Thank you to BLINKs (BLACKPINK fans) for your endless love and support — this one’s for you”
With tracks like “Your Love,” “TEARS” and “Hugs & Kisses,” AMORTAGE signals Jisoo’s official resurgence as a solo artist, proving she’s more than ready to make her mark beyond BLACKPINK.
