Rema Finally Releases Sade Cover, "Baby (Is It A Crime)"

Excuse us while we scream.

Nigerian star Rema seemingly releases his Sade-inspired single — with a surprise.

On February 7, “Baby (Is it a Crime)” hit streaming platforms and Youtube with a brand new music video. Once just a teaser, the “Calm Down” singer raised the bar with a top tier sample of Sade’s hit single “Is It A Crime.” The song was first teased in 2024 with a sultry loop of the musician and the hype has been steadily increasing.

Thankfully, the highly-decorated singer not only dropped the single but the video, too leaving fans fed. ”Rema is steadily making Afrobeat and Africa proud with his genuine and undeniable musical skill set and raw talent… Much love from a brother and true Ravers fan with German and Nigeria Benin city ancestry.”
