H&M Officially Launches Its Stella McCartney Collaboration
First teased at the Fashion Awards in London last year.
H&M just officially launched its new Stella McCartney collaboration, first teased during the Fashion Awards in London last year. Marking the second time McCartney has teamed up with the brand, which first took place 20 years ago, the new collection builds on H&M’s 25-year history and taps into its accessible approach to designer fashion.
The collection offers both apparel and accessories, combining Stella signatures with archive-inspired pieces. Standouts include sweeping trenches, sharp tailoring and oversized shirting, paired with Stella’s glitzy prints and slogans.
“I see this collection as a journey through my fashion history. It is a true mix of current classics and some of my old favourites that showcase my first forays into fashion and the development of my signatures. It’s playful, strong, sparkling, joyful, refined,” said McCartney of the collection.
Along with classic tailoring and bejewelled pieces, the collection features a series of ribbed, knitted dresses and tops accessorized with the signature McCartney Falabella chain, harking back to one of the brand’s most notable bag silhouettes. Completing the offering is a range of six bag styles, recycled metal jewelry and chain-detail loafers.
Leaning into Stella’s sustainable ethos, the collection favors recycled content, organic wools and the use of “feedstock” for its coated materials, utilizing sources like recycled vegetable oil and industrial corn.
“Stella has always had a bold vision for fashion, and this collection tracks her journey from a young, rule-breaking voice to a master of timeless design. Every single piece in the collection is desirable and tells a unique and bold story,” adds Ann-Sofie Johansson, Creative Advisor and Head of Design for womenswear at H&M.
