Rihanna and PUMA's Partnership Has Reportedly Ended
The superstar was recently spotted in a pair of Nike x Jacquemus Moon Shoes.
One of fashion’s favorite celebrities might be back on the market again. NBA finals and the World Cup might be all anyone can talk about, but this transfer window is what has us on the edge of our seats. According to recent reports, Rihanna’s multi-year FENTY x PUMA partnership has quietly come to an end.
After making a blockbuster return to the sportswear brand in March of 2023, Rihanna has run down her three-year contract, choosing to enter sneaker free agency instead. The biggest indicator of the split happened on the streets of New York City. The typically loyal brand ambassador was spotted stepping out in a pair of the increasingly popular Jacquemus x Nike Moon Shoes. In addition to the sudden change in footwear, Rihanna is no longer listed as a collaborator on the brand’s website, and the FENTY x PUMA page is nowhere to be found.
The question as to who gets A$AP Rocky in this breakup is still yet to be answered, as the multi-hyphenate star just released a new shoe with PUMA this month. However, it appears as if his own contract with the brand is slowly coming to an end, as well.
The global icon’s second stint with the brand gave us new lifestyle staples like the soccer cleat-inspired Avanti sneaker, but her original FENTY x PUMA run — complete with furry slides and the iconic Creeper — is still on our minds. So, where will she take her talents to next? We’ll have to wait and see, but Nike is looking like a serious contender right now.
In other news, Bad Bunny and adidas launched the “Flamboyán” ballerina sneaker.
