See How Model Dara Allen Styles the Nike Air Max 270

Major inspo.

Nike‘s newest innovation, the Air Max 270 has been an instant-hit and for good reason too. Not only is it a slick silhouette, it also has the tallest Air Max heel bag yet so it offers unparalleled bounce and comfort for those who spend all their time on their feet.

The best thing about the sneaker, however, is the unlimited styling options – the versatile nature of the shoe means you can really project your own stamp and personality onto it. Ahead of Air Max Day 2018, San Diego-born, New York-based model and stylist Dara Allen shows us how she wears her 270s.

In the self-styled shoot, lensed by Mayan Toledano, Allen pairs the innovative silhouette with remixed Nike sportswear apparel against the backdrop of everyday suburban scenarios. She sports a vibrant “volt” workout outfit with orange 270s on an exercise bike in a retro living room and with a futuristic all-white and silver look at a train platform. She also pairs the sneakers with a retro logo sweatshirt within a trophy-laden teen bedroom and with a sporty, mesh skirt in a diner.

The transgender model has had a rapid ascent in the fashion industry, after making her runway debut for Marc Jacobs’ Fall/Winter 2017 collection whilst she was still unsigned. She then went on to grace the cover of i-D magazine, walk for Kenzo Fall/Winter 2018 during Paris Fashion Week and nabbed a campaign with Marc Jacobs Beauty.

Flick through the campaign images above for some styling inspiration and find out more about why exactly the Air Max 270 has fast-become everyone’s new favorite Nike sneaker.
