Gigi Hadid and Halima Aden Grace the Cover of 'CR Fashion Book' Issue 13
Highlighting their support for UNICEF.
Magazine covers are all the talk of the fashion industry right now, especially as the renowned September issues are upon us. With glossy covers for the upcoming month boasting the likes of Beyonce, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj and Kylie Jenner upon them, the front pages have never been so glitzy.
CR Fashion Book is also bringing its A-game, placing not one but two superstar models at the helm of its 13th issue. The publication, launched by former Vogue Paris‘ editor-in-chief Carine Roitfeld, has tapped Gigi Hadid and Halima Aden as its September 2018 champions, highlighting their efforts for and support of UNICEF. This marks Hadid’s third CR cover and Aden’s second and shows both women styled in a mix of high-end clothing and UNICEF branded merchandise. Discussing her choice to focus on the children’s non-profit organization, Roitfeld said:
“For many years I admired UNICEF ambassadors like Audrey Hepburn, and today I am so proud to celebrate the lifesaving mission of this organization, especially in such a challenging year for children and refugees. According to UNICEF, more children are on the move now than at any point since World War II. This shocking statistic means that empowering children to think, do, and dream bigger is more essential and urgent than ever.”
