Balenciaga Launches an Exclusive Capsule Collection With Farfetch
Supporting the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
Retail giant Farfetch has just launched its latest collaboration, this time with Balenciaga. The exclusive capsule collection is launching globally online, and features menswear, womenswear as well as kidswear, and is filled with exclusive pieces in previously unseen colors and fabrics.
The full collection is crafted without using leather, fur or down, as a way to support the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature). “Balenciaga is pleased to launch this exclusive collection. Bringing awareness to threatened species and supporting the conservation actions of IUCN is part of our vision.” Cédric Charbit, Chief Executive Officer of Balenciaga said regarding the charity.
In addition, pieces from the range also feature illustrations of threatened animal species such as the Northern White Rhinoceros, the Asian Elephant, the Blue Whale and the Giant Panda. “(We are) proud to champion collaborators who are focused on positive impact and wholeheartedly support Balenciaga’s continued efforts to raise awareness for such causes,” said Farfetch regarding the collaboration.
