Helen Kirkum x Melissa Combines Five Shoes Into One Sneaker-Platform

The ultimate multipurpose shoe.

Closing out its 40th anniversary celebration, footwear and accessory brand Melissa enlisted custom sneaker designer Helen Kirkum to create a collection of vivid sneaker-platform hybrids. The shoes, constructed in Melissa’s signature PVC, incorporate Kirkum’s deconstructed aesthetic by collaging together elements of five re-issued Melissa styles.

The shoe features a round capped toe with two straps across the vamp. Unlaced eyelets allude to a sneaker, while a curved platform literally and figuratively elevates the shoe. Melissa branding appears on the midsole and flower-like perforation on the upper adds additional detail. The shoe comes in three colorways: one black base with green, brown and baby blue elements, a second in pink with black and dark blue straps and a final white style with orange, green and purple detailing.

The Helen Kirkum x Melissa collection retails for $219 USD and is available now at Melissa Galeria New York and London, as well as online.
