City Girls Finally Drop Video For Summer Anthem "Act Up"

Featuring an appearance by Lil Yachty.

As we prepare to head into summer, City Girls have officially dropped a music video for “Act Up.” The song originally appeared on their debut album Girl Code.

In the “Act Up” clip, Quality Control label mate Lil Yachty makes an appearance; this comes as no surprise since he co-wrote the track. Yung Miami is, of course, spotted throughout the video rapping alongside a crew of dancers. During one moment she is seen wearing an all-black outfit, while during another short moment, she wears a set by New York-based brand Slashed By Tia. As a whole, the track is directed similarly to the previously released “Twerk” video which featured rapper Cardi B.

In case you’re wondering where JT is, she doesn’t make an appearance due to her current prison sentence for fraud. According to The Blast, her legal team filed a request to have her released early after she served almost 16 months of her two-year sentence, but the request was denied. Documents shared that JT was given a 108-day, good conduct time credit. Currently, there is no official release date for JT.

Check out the “Act Up” video in the gallery above.
