Prada Takes Over Selfridges With Its Outdoorsy "Prada Escape" Concept Space
Including hiking-inspired products like water bottles and boots.
Selfridges’ ever-changing The Corner Shop space on its ground floor has been home to various brands and installations over the years, with Pat McGrath being a recent resident. Now, Italian luxury house Prada has taken over the spot for its exclusive “Prada Escape” concept – a destination for men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, accessories and lifestyle goods.
Inspired by the outdoors, key pieces include jackets, pants and skits in Prada’s signature gabardine nylon either in black or with an on-trend camo twist. The footwear and accessories offering, which includes backpacks, belt bags and bucket hats also continue the hiking theme thanks to details like chunky rubber soles, practical cargo pockets and exposed zippers.
Additionally, there’s an array of branded merch on offer, including stainless-steel water bottles, notepads made in collaboration with Japanese stationery brand Midori and and even chocolate, produced by Marchesi 1824.
