Nike Upgrades Its Self-Lacing Tech with The Adapt BB 2.0 Basketball Sneaker

Slated to drop on February 16.

Last year, Nike released the Adapt BB silhouette featuring ground-breaking, self-lacing technology that revolutionalized the basketball sneaker scene. For its 2020 iteration, the Swoosh brand has unveiled the futuristic silhouette – Adapt BB 2.0 – which was debuted by Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies during his January 20 game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

According to the sportswear label, its designers have added Air Zoom Turbo to the forefoot of the latest version, giving it a bouncier feel on the court. The midsole stack height has also been reconfigured for a smoother heel to toe transition. Players can now put the shoe on effortlessly as the Flyknit shroud has been removed, opening up the collar and integrating a stretchable ballistic mesh throughout the upper. Finally, its design features the iconic Swoosh in a larger size along with pixelated textures.

Take a detailed look at the pair in the gallery above. The Nike Adapt BB 2.0 releases on February 16 at Nike’s website. While we wait for it to drop, don’t forget to check out the brand’s Air Max 95 “HKG 2020.”
