Selena Gomez's New Album, 'Rare,' Gets Up Close and Personal
The star shared that her new release was a “nightmare” in the best way possible.
Selena Gomez has officially released her third solo album, Rare, her most personal and autobiographical release to date. “This is the first time I’ve heard her truly channel the details of her emotional experience,” Gomez’s close friend Taylor Swift told WSJ.Magazine. In an exclusive Spotify video, Gomez shared that the album, a compilation of evolving recording sessions over the years, was a “nightmare to deal with, but in the best way possible.”
The 13-track album includes hit singles ”Look At Her Now” and “Lose You To Love Me,” the latter of which became the first song to land number one on the Billboard Hot 100, Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube, iTunes and Rolling Stone charts all at once. Songs including “Dance Again,” “Vulnerable” and “Cut You Off” detail the emotional highs and lows of love, while rappers 6LACK and Kid Cudi appear on “Crowded Room” and “A Sweeter Place,” respectively.
