Naomi Campbell Stuns in Vivienne Westwood's SS20 Campaign

Her first appearance for the iconic label.

For her latest campaign, iconic designer Vivienne Westwood taps Naomi Campbell to front the Spring/Summer 2020 collection. Campbell stars alongside Westwood herself as well as Andreas Kronthaler, in the lookbook which was shot by Juergen Teller in Paris’ 18th Arrondissement. “I believe things in life come along when they are meant to. It has taken 33 years to do a Westwood campaign and I’m so happy to be doing it in my 49th year. It’s meant to be when its meant to be,” said the model about the opportunity.

Featuring Westwood’s eclectic collection against a background of Paris’ neon lit streets, the campaign is all about emphasizing the designer’s story. “When I design clothes, they always have to have a story and when somebody shoots me in our clothes, I always have to have that story in my mind. I’ve been reading Mythology – for this it was like we were on our way to paradise and we were all going to change from fish into birds,” said Vivienne Westwood about the collection and the creative direction.
