Apple Experts Predict Sales Breakdown Between iPhone 12 Models
Demand for the iPhone 12 Pro is higher than expected.
According to estimates by Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, pre-orders of the iPhone 12 reached twice the level of pre-orders for last year’s iPhone 11.
Statistics reported by 9to5mac reveal that, within the first 24 hours of pre-orders, 1.7 million to 2 million iPhone 12 units were sold, a huge jump from 500,000 to 800,000 pre-orders for the iPhone 11. Apple Insider estimates that Apple will sell between 63 million and 68 million iPhone 12 units before the end of 2020, thanks in part to the company’s introduction of a dark blue colorway. Looking ahead to the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone Pro Max, which are expected to go on pre-sale on November 6, Kuo estimated the total sales split between all four iPhone 12 models. Check out his predications below.
iPhone 12 Sales Split Prediction
iPhone 12 mini: 10-15%
iPhone 12: 30-35%
iPhone 12 Pro: 30-35%
iPhone 12 Pro Max: 15-20%
