Spike Lee Is Directing a Movie-Musical About Viagra
Yes, the erectile dysfunction pill.
Spike Lee has signed on to direct a movie-musical about Viagra, the erectile dysfunction pill manufactured by Pfizer. Still untitled, the unorthodox project is based on a 2018 Esquire feature, written by David Kushner, about the origin story and development of the drug.
Helmed by Entertainment One, the movie will feature original songs by Stew Stewart and Heidi Rodewald. Lee will direct the film from a screenplay he wrote with Kwame Kwei-Armah. The director provided a statement to Variety on the project:
