Stussy Celebrates Its 40th Anniversary With Virgil Abloh, Marc Jacobs, Rick Owens and More
The designers create their own take on the label’s classic World Tour tee.
Founded in the early ’80s by Shawn Stussy, Stussy officially turns 40 this year. In celebration of this milestone, the Californian brand has linked up with a group of designers to create their own iteration of the classic Stussy World Tour T-shirt.
Representing different parts of the world and communities that have inspired Stussy over the years, Rick Owens, Virgil Abloh, Takahiro Miyashita, Marc Jacobs and Martine Rose have produced their own take on the garment featuring their signature styles. According to a press release, “each [designer] brings a different perspective, sensibility and intention that juxtaposes with time tested Stussy design language.” In addition, all creatives have pledged to donate a portion of the profits from the sale to a charitable organization of their choice.
Take a closer look at the different versions down below. The 40th Anniversary World Tour collection will be available at Chapter stores, Dover Street Market and Stussy’s website on November 20 at 10 a.m. PST.
