Matthew Williams Reveals Release Date for Nike Zoom MMW 4 Collaboration

The technical design is launching sooner than you think.

UPDATE (December 17, 2020): After months of teasers and sneak peeks, Matthew Williams has finally announced the release date for his latest footwear collaboration with Nike. The 1017 ALYX 9SM and Givenchy designer took to Instagram to share the news: “I’m very excited to announce the release of my upcoming Nike shoe, the Nike Zoom MMW 4.” As seen previously, the kicks boast technical design details with elements such as mesh caging and structured midsoles.

Matthew Williams’ Nike Zoom MMW 4 sneakers are slated to drop on December 21 via Nike SNKRS and 1017 ALYX 9SM’s web store for $450 USD.

ORIGINAL STORY (December 3, 2020): Seeing success as the creative director of Givenchy and his label 1017 ALYX 9SM, Matthew Williams is finishing off a strong year with a footwear partnership with Nike. First unveiled at the Swoosh’s Future Sport Forum back in February, the collaborative Zoom MM4 shoe is expected to drop soon.

Dressed in a muted bone-white shade, the shoe boasts technical details throughout. The upper is constructed with mesh caging, which reveals a black Swoosh placed on the laterals. The medial side sees the brand’s signature logo printed on the outer layer of the shoe. Williams’ initials are printed on the rear, footbed and tongue, while the design is accentuated with translucent rubber overlays around the heel and toe cap. Resembling the sportswear giant’s upcoming ISPA Road Warrior sneaker, the midsole features striking details created with Pebax plates, Zoom Air units and EVA foam.

Take an official look through the gallery above. The Matthew Williams x Nike MMW 4 kicks are expected to drop towards the end of 2020 or early next year.
