McDonald's Is Launching Katsu Curry Chicken McNuggets
The fast food chain tries its hand at the Japanese dish.
McDonald’s is putting a novel twist on its McNuggets, adding Japanese flavor to the menu classic. The fast food chain’s British locations are gearing up to launch Katsu Curry McNuggets, a take on chicken katsu, a traditional Japanese dish of breaded chicken or pork cutlet served over curry rice. Recreating the dish in miniature form, the nuggets are coated in Japanese-style Panko breadcrumbs and then fried. Each box of nuggets is served with a side of sweet curry dipping sauce.
McDonald’s’ Katsu Curry McNuggets launch at the chain’s UK locations on December 30 and will be available for a limited period of six weeks.
