Riccardo Tisci Puts Forth a Carbon-Neutral Show for Burberry's FW20 Collection
Another step to reducing the environmental impact caused by its operations.
Marking his fourth show for the British luxury house, Riccardo Tisci continued Burberry‘s sustainability initiative this Fall/Winter 2020 season with a carbon-neutral collection. Set in a futuristic space inside the Olympia Exhibition Center in West London, the heritage label also announced it will be developing a Regeneration Fund for further steps to reduce the environmental impact caused by its operations.
Titled “Memories,” the runway was accompanied by a performance by Arca as well as French piano duo Katia and Marielle Labèque. Top models including Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Sora Choi, Anok Yai, Joan Smalls and Halima Aden took the stage in Burberry’s signature plaid pattern found on items like a ruffled skirt, trench coats, oversized blazers and trousers. Highlighting the collection were unique design details ranging from patchwork seen on tailored pieces, to sparkling sequins, finishing striking looks on maxi dresses, a fringed beige ensemble and more.
