Louis Vuitton Continues Its UNICEF Partnership With Silver Lockit Bracelets by Virgil Abloh
Each bracelet will contribute $100 USD to children in need.
Continuing its ongoing collaborative #MAKEAPROMISE campaign with UNICEF, Louis Vuitton has released a first look at the new Silver Lockit bracelet designed by Virgil Abloh. The design arrives in a total of four iterations.
Taking inspiration from the tumbler lock created by Georges Vuitton back in 1890 to protect customers’ belongings, the Silver Lockit was chosen as a symbol representing the promise to help children at risk. The #MAKEAPROMISE campaign commits to raising funds for UNICEF, supporting some of the most vulnerable children around the world including Syrian refugees and host communities in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq and Turkey. By purchasing the Silver Lockit, customers can support the cause along with those affected by recent natural disasters.
The contemporary design is a continuation of Virgil Abloh’s Spring/Summer 2020 runway collection, featuring black, orange, celadon green and blue colors. The bracelets are finished off with the designer’s signature bold chains in silver, which are connected to the Louis Vuitton charm and engraved padlock.
