Baby Phat and Foot Locker Team Up For New "Courtside Capsule" Collection
Kimora Lee Simmons has also launched a COVID-19 relief initiative.
Following the relaunch of Baby Phat last December, Kimora Lee Simmons‘ streetwear brand has now partnered up with Foot Locker for the latest “Courtside Capsule” collection. Simmons said in a press release:
“This is a real girl power story. Ming Lee and Aoki Lee inspire me constantly because they’re so connected to the way girls and women are dressing today; and cute dresses with cool kicks reign supreme. Baby Phat has always been designed by and for women, and we’ve always bridged ‘feminine’ and ‘sporty.’
That’s what makes Foot Locker such a perfect partner, they have their finger on the pulse of how women dress today because they’ve always cared about women! They understand that this is about lifestyle.”
The eight-piece range features a red hoodie with matching joggers, a basic white tee embellished with the brand’s iconic logo, two body-hugging dresses, a chic kimono, a tank catsuit and rhinestone leggings. Along with the limited-edition line, Simmons and her daughters also launched a food distribution initiative last week to help families affected by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. According to Complex, Kimora Lee, Ming Lee and Aoki Lee have “collectively donated 150,000 meals via the Freedom Shield Foundation,” with an additional 160,000 meals scheduled for this week.
