IKEA Reveals Recipe for Its Famous Meatballs
Swedish comfort food from home.
IKEA, known for its homeware as much as its in-store Swedish food, has released the recipe for its famous meatballs and cream sauce. “We know that some people might be missing our meatballs, which is why we’ve released an at-home alternative…Staying at home can be hard, but we want to help make everyone’s lives that little bit easier and more enjoyable,” IKEA’s Country Food Manager Lorena Lourido said in a statement.
The home goods giant recently re-opened some of its Swedish Food Markets to vulnerable customers and workers in need of essential goods. An additional response to the global coronavirus pandemic, the retailer has also converted the parking lots of its Wembley and Gateshead locations in the UK into drive-through COVID-19 testing centers for National Health Service staff.
