'Terrace House' Opening Gets an 'Animal Crossing' Makeover

Major island design inspo.

Having become one of the biggest games of 2020, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has players getting creative through terraforming their islands, customizing outfits and decorating their homes. With some creating versions with special themes such as Pokémon, one user, who goes by “Ekuisun” on YouTube, has reimagined the opening for Terrace House, set on an ACNH island.

Starting off with a bird’s-eye view of the small town, the 40-second-long video introduces different parts of the island, filled with flower gardens, bamboo trees, a lighthouse and more. The home where the Terrace House participants stay features minimal white walls and sofas just like the popular Japanese television show. The clip further shows more snippets of the island which include a café, library, vending machines and a beach with an outdoor swimming pool.
