Bodega Rose Raffles Air Jordan Planter to Benefit Racial Justice Initiatives

Including the COVID Bail Out Fund.

New York City design studio Bodega Rose, known for its ceramic planters taking the form of coveted sneakers and other fashion, is raffling off an Air Jordan 1 Retro High “Travis Scott” vase. One entry into the raffle costs $20 USD, and 100 percent of proceeds will go to the COVID Bail Out Fund, an organization providing bail to medically vulnerable people currently being held in New York jails. (Inability to pay bail disproportionately affects low-income communities of color.)

Bodega Rose plans to make daily donations to additional organizations fighting racial injustice. A statement posted to the brand’s Instagram cites Color of Change as an example, and encourages followers to suggest other initiatives in need of funds. ”Complacency will not be tolerated. Silence is not acceptable. America owes so much to the Black community; I owe so much to the Black community. Thank you for giving so much to the world,” Bodega Rose founder Olivia Rose writes in an Instagram post announcing the raffle.

To enter Bodega Rose’s Air Jordan 1 Retro High “Travis Scott” raffle, which closes on June 5 at 11:59 p.m. EST, head to the Bodega Rose website.
