UPDATE (July 31, 2020): 88rising‘s PARADISE RISING has officially released its first mixtape dubbed semilucent. Featuring a blend of different genres including pop, indie pop, hip hop, R&B and soul, the album consists of five tracks: “Endlessly+Tenderly” by Jason Dhakal, “Clouds” by Leila Alcasid, “On God” by Massiah of CARELESS, “Kaori” by Fern. and “Safe Place” by Kiana Valenciano. ORIGINAL STORY (July 23, 2020): 88rising has officially announced its first localized label in the Philippines in partnership with the country’s largest mobile provider, Globe Telecom. Dubbed PARADISE RISING, the American mass media company aims to expand the presence of Filipino artists internationally through music distribution, music rights management and artist development.
To commemorate the official launch of PARADISE RISING, the label is set to drop its debut mixtape called semilucent. Featured local artists include Kiana Valenciano, Massiah of CARELESS, Jason Dhakal, Fern. and Leila Alcasid, who specialize in different genres like pop, indie pop, hip hop, R&B and soul.
