Upcoming 'Animal Crossing' Updates Include Fireworks and Interactive Dreams
Nintendo released a sneak peek at the new additions.
Hit video game Animal Crossing: New Horizons is set to receive several summer updates expanding activity options for players and their characters. Nintendo has detailed the additions in a new video, currently trending on YouTube, giving fans a sneak peek at the upcoming changes.
Beginning in August, users will be able to launch their own custom-designed fireworks show, bringing a classic summertime activity to the game’s virtual world. Nintendo will also add the option for players to put their characters to bed. While your character snoozes, an elephant named Luna will allow him or her to visit and explore “dream islands.” Lastly, the game will allow island backup and restoration — functions that players will no doubt appreciate.
The Animal Crossing: New Horizons “Summer Update — Wave 2” additions will release July 30. In the meantime, take a look at Nintendo’s preview above.
