The British Fashion Council Re-Opens COVID-19 Crisis Fund Applications
In order to continue supporting British designers impacted by the pandemic.
Following the establishment of the BFC Foundation Fashion Fund earlier this year, offering £1,000,000 GBP to British designers and brands in need of support following damages caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, the fund has raised an additional £500,000 GBP, allowing applications for aid to reopen for its second round.
In May, 37 British businesses received support including Craig Green, Richard Quinn, Liam Hodges and Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY, and a portion of the funds was also allocated to students. The project is continuous, and the BFC has emphasized that applications will reopen each time the organization manages to reach the £500,000 GBP mark. This round includes donations from Alexander McQueen, Amazon Fashion, Browns and more, and the initiative has also seen support from brands like Burberry, Depop and others.
The application is now live on the British Fashion Council website, for those looking to apply for the fund.
