MUJI Launches Furniture Subscription Program in Japan

To help professionals work from home amidst the pandemic.

MUJI has launched a monthly furniture subscription program in partnership with interior design brand Idée. Responding to the rise in remote working, an ongoing consequence of the coronavirus pandemic, the service will focus on providing furniture and other items for home offices in Japan.

MUJI’s monthly flat-rate service will provide customers with rental packages curated around three themes: Sleeping, Learning/Working and Relaxing. The company will also offer home office renovation and online lifestyle consultation services geared towards optimizing indoor space.

MUJI’s subscription program starts at ¥800 JPY (approximately $8 USD) per month. Applications for the service are available at MUJI’s retail locations in Japan.

Elsewhere in interior design, experts weigh in on how to set up a home office.
